Esqueça John Wayne e tantos outros ícones do faroeste. Nas últimas semanas, espectadores de diferentes continentes têm enaltecido a figura de Ubaldo (Allan Souza Lima), que se vê envolvido com o crime organizado no nordeste.
Com direito a perseguições, longas cenas de ação e uma violência de crueza raras vezes vistas na TV, ele é o protagonista de “Cangaço Novo“, série que entrou no Top 10 em 49 países do Prime Vídeo, sendo o primeiro colocado em territórios africanos como Angola e Moçambique por oito dias consecutivos.
Na trama, que parece um verdadeiro western brasileiro, Ubaldo precisa de dinheiro para cuidar de seu pai adotivo e, por isso, topa virar cangaceiro. Aí, vale tudo: roubar bancos, dominar cidades inteiras e fazer o possível para manter viva a imagem de Amaro Vaqueiro, o pai biológico dele e de suas irmãs, que é uma figura mítica na região. Com esse tempero de realidade, “Cangaço Novo” acabou cativando a audiência.
Para o protagonista Allan Souza Lima, então, foi um prato cheio. Natural do Recife, o nordestino considerou o papel uma volta para casa e praticamente não descansou: gravou 103 das 105 diárias do projeto. “Eu sempre digo que interpretar não deixa de ser também um trabalho de terapia, né? É para você liberar seus demônios. Existiu um grande desgaste emocional e físico mas isso é o mais potente do trabalho”, conta ele, em entrevista ao F5.
Nos últimos anos, Lima tem oscilado por outros universos. Na atual novela das seis da Globo, “Amor Perfeito“, por exemplo, interpreta o frei João, enquanto em “Novo Mundo” (2017), deu vida a um cacique. Cenários quase que irreais ao se comparar com a entrega e o perfil de Ubaldo em “Cangaço Novo” – principalmente por estar ambientado no nordeste brasileiro.
Assim, Lima avalia que o seriado do Prime Vídeo seja um bom exemplo do quanto falta espaço para os talentos de regiões fora do eixo Rio-São Paulo —mas as coisas parecem estar melhorando. “A gente está em um momento de transição, o que falta de fato é abrir mais esse olhar. O Brasil é gigante, a gente é multicultural como artista, independente de qualquer campo artístico. O que falta é só uma oportunidade”.
A partir do sucesso de “Cangaço Novo”, a expectativa é que uma segunda temporada seja lançada. Em entrevista ao podcast Vale o Play, a atriz Alice Carvalho afirmou que o argumento dos capítulos inéditos já estão prontos.
Lima, claro, torce para que isso aconteça, mas é pé no chão, racional. E se não rolar? “Minha vida é trabalhar com objetivo alto, meu esforço sempre foi constante, mas eu sempre levo uma expectativa baixa para não existir frustrações”.
O ator continua tocando a vida e segue com outros projetos. Em breve, estará em mais um filme da cine-série “A Menina que Matou os Pais”, que narra o crime orquestrado por Suzane Von Richtofen. Ele é Cristian Cravinhos, que ganha mais protagonismo no longa inédito. “Foram cenas muito delicadas, porque agora agora estamos falando mais sobre a versão da Polícia Civil dentro do interrogatório”, adianta ele. A partir desta visão, as autoridades conseguiram entender como os irmãos Cravinhos pegaram o dinheiro vivo (em reais, euros e dólares) que os pais de Suzane guardavam em casa na noite em que foram mortos.
“Foram seis ou sete cenas, num momento muito crucial do filme, onde existiu um trabalho com uma densidade muito grande no momento que ele assume o que aconteceu, bem mais visceral e em uma pegada ‘true crime’ mesmo.”
