Ashley Park, uma das estrelas de “Emily in Paris”, contou em suas redes que ainda não está 100% recuperada de uma doença que a deixou hospitalizada no início de 2024. Ler seu relato chega a ser assustador, se levarmos em conta a evolução de seu quadro de saúde.
A atriz escreveu que desenvolveu amigdalite (infecção que atinge as amígdalas, na garganta), durante as férias em dezembro. A infecção, no entanto, “evoluiu para um choque séptico crítico, que infectou e afetou vários dos meus órgãos”, contou Park. Ela agradeceu ao marido, Paul Forman, por “estar incondicionalmente ao meu lado durante tudo isso”.
“Você acalmou meus medos e me segurou durante ambulâncias, três hospitais estrangeiros, uma semana na UTI, assustadoras salas de emergência, inúmeros exames e injeções, dor excruciante e tanta confusão, tudo enquanto estávamos sozinhos do outro lado do mundo, longe daqueles que conhecemos. Eu te amo, Paul. Mais do que posso dizer”.
A atriz, que recentemente apareceu no filme musical “Meninas Malvadas”, estava nas Maldivas quando começou a se sentir mal e fez um agradecimento especial também aos médicos e enfermeiros da UTI do resort Joali Being, onde estava hospedada.
“Obrigada por responderem imediatamente e ficarem comigo, para fornecerem traduções e apoio vital”. Park já está em casa, ainda se recuperando. “Obrigada por lerem isso. Desculpem por estar tão ausente recentemente para tantas coisas e pessoas na minha vida. Amo todos vocês. Estou me curando e prometo que vou ficar bem”.
A 4ª temporada de “Emily em Paris”, da Netflix, está atualmente em produção, embora não esteja claro se ou como a hospitalização de Park afetou as filmagens. Lily Collins, que interpreta a Emily do título (e a melhor amiga da personagem de Ashley), comentou nas fotos.
“Mal consigo olhar para essas fotos sem chorar. Te amo, irmã, e sou eternamente grata por você estar do outro lado disso e por [Paul] pelo seu coração incrivelmente grande e por estar lá em todos os momentos. Mal posso esperar para abraçar vocês dois”.
