Um dos diretores mais cultuados do cinema, David Lynch ganha retrospectiva gratuita na Cinemateca entre 2 e 12 de fevereiro, sempre de quinta a domingo.
Alguns dos títulos memoráveis do diretor, recheados de personagens excêntricos, estão presentes, como “O Homem Elefante” (1980), “Veludo Azul” (1986) e “Cidade dos Sonhos” (2001). Ao todo, serão exibidos oito longas-metragens.
Mas o que mais chama a atenção na mostra é a primeira temporada na íntegra de “Twin Peaks” (1990), uma das séries mais discutidas da história da televisão americana.
Essa leva inaugural do seriado foi composta por oito episódios, cada um com pouco mais de 45 minutos. A produção trazia logo no primeiro episódio a polícia de Twin Peaks encontrando o corpo de Laura Palmer, adolescente querida por todos.
Quem chega para investigar o crime é o intrépido e pouco ortodoxo agente do FBI Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan). Aos poucos, Cooper descobre que a pequena cidade não é tão pacata e que as aparências enganam. Enquanto isso, todos se perguntavam quem estava por trás do brutal assassinato de Laura Palmer.
Autor da famosa trilha sonora da série e colaborador habitual de David Lynch, Angelo Badalamenti morreu em dezembro passado.
