PETA condena produção de Anéis de Energia após cavalo morrer – The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power

As filmagens da segunda temporada de Anéis de Poder sofreram uma baixa: um cavalo. A criatura de quatro patas aparentemente morreu de insuficiência cardíaca durante uma sessão de treinamento, de acordo com a Variety, que escreve que a Amazon Studios confirmou o incidente no sábado. Como esperado, a organização de direitos dos animais PETA também condenou o incidente, com a vice-presidente da PETA, Lisa Lange, dizendo que cavalos animados por computador poderiam ter sido usados:

“Parece que viver no subsolo com os orcs é o caminho certo para os produtores de ‘Os Anéis de Poder’, porque eles têm a opção de usar CGI, plataformas mecânicas e outros métodos humanos que não executariam cavalos vulneráveis até a morte no set. A PETA está convocando os criadores do programa – e todos os outros produtores – a assumirem uma nova missão sem usar cavalos reais. Se eles não podem evitar a exploração de animais para sua arte, eles devem encontrar um novo meio, porque ninguém quer ver um spin-off para a TV com o tormento como tema.”

Os animais devem ser digitalizados em filmes e séries para evitar mortes infelizes e cruéis, ou isso levaria a um resultado menor?
