Três anos atrás, o chefe do Xbox, Phil Spencer, recebeu a pergunta sobre qual título não anunciado do estúdio first-party ele está mais animado para o público ver. Spencer tinha dois jogos em mente, com o primeiro sendo o próximo esforço de Compulsion, chamado Project Midnight.
A Compulsion foi comprada pela Microsoft em 2018, mas desde o lançamento de We Happy Few (e DLC) no mesmo ano, realmente não ouvimos nada sobre o que eles estão fazendo a seguir. O que sabemos, no entanto, é que o estúdio dobrou de tamanho nos últimos dois anos, e agora parece que a revelação pode acontecer no próximo mês.
Como notado por Idle Sloth no Twitter, a Compulsion Games agora contratou um Diretor de Marca e Comunicação, enquanto também procura um Gerente de Comunidade. Ambos são posições que geralmente não estão ligadas à produção real de jogos, mas sim ao marketing deles – algo que você precisa quando a revelação está bastante próxima e você precisa de pessoal para divulgar seus títulos.
Embora certamente não seja nenhuma confirmação, parece que veremos o projeto favorito de Phil Spencer durante o Xbox Games Showcase 2023 em 11 de junho.
