Em um ano, Anatel bloqueia 3,9 mil servidores usados na pirataria de TV por assinatura

Desde fevereiro, agência reguladora faz ações para bloquear sinal e coibir a venda de equipamentos clandestinos usados para acessar, sem pagar, conteúdo da TV por assinatura. A Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel) fez 52 operações neste ano que resultaram no bloqueio de 3,9 mil servidores clandestinos de TV boxes. Os dados fazem parte do balanço mais recente divulgado pela agência, nesta quinta-feira (14).
Ter uma TV Box não homologada é crime, porque quem compra esse produto acessa, sem pagar, conteúdo da TV por assinatura de forma ilegal. Além disso, os usuários que acessam esse tipo de equipamento põem em risco a segurança de seus dados.
“O objetivo da Anatel é retirar TV boxes não homologadas dos lares brasileiros. Esses dispositivos não têm assistência técnica, não há garantia de segurança de dados, e podem se tornar vetores de ataques digitais à rede do usuário ou às redes das prestadoras de telecomunicações”, alerta o conselheiro diretor da Anatel Artur Coimbra.
A Associação Brasileira de Televisão por Assinatura estima que, por ano, o impacto da pirataria na TV paga possa chegar a R$ 15 bilhões. Por isso, a Anatel quer aumentar ações de bloqueio no ano que vem. A agência estima que, atualmente, de 5 a 7 milhões de aparelhos ilegais estejam em uso no Brasil.
“Para 2024, devemos ampliar as operações de bloqueio, fortalecendo o combate à pirataria de conteúdo audiovisual no Brasil, e ampliar o combate ao comércio e uso de TV boxes clandestinas”, explica Coimbra.
Uma das estratégias do órgão regulador é realizar bloqueios de sinais das TV boxes ilegais durante os finais de semana e nas transmissões de grandes eventos.
No último dia 6, o órgão regulador usou essa tática e conseguiu bloquear o uso de aplicativos usados para pirataria e 1,2 mil sites de streaming ilegais na transmissão da última rodada da Série A do Brasileirão.
