Netflix se anima com sucesso de ‘Chiquititas’ e lança sua primeira série nacional para crianças

Entre produções dramáticas, documentários, suspenses e ação, a Netflix resolveu incrementar seu portfólio e parte para a briga pela audiência do público infantil. A plataforma lança em breve “Luz“, sua primeira série infantojuvenil nacional. A história é focada na busca de uma menina por suas origens.

Com estreia prevista para fevereiro, mas ainda sem data marcada, a trama chega no mesmo momento em que “Chiquititas”, do SBT, se tornou uma das produções brasileiras mais assistidas da gigante do streaming. Mesmo estando disponível só no catálogo do Brasil, a novela ocupou a 38ª posição do ranking global, com 162 milhões de horas assistidas entre janeiro e junho de 2023.

Protagonizada por Marianna Santos, a série conta a história de Luz, menina de nove anos que cresceu em uma comunidade indígena, mas sai em busca de suas origens ao descobrir que foi adotada após se tornar órfã. A atriz já atuou em “Poliana Moça” e “Carinha de Anjo”.

Em entrevista exclusiva ao F5, o diretor da produção, Thiago Teitelroit, diz que a ideia é que a série não se restrinja a crianças e adolescentes. Se tudo correr como esperam, famílias assistirão juntas aos episódios. Ele afirma que o formato é popular e, por isso, consegue furar bolhas. “Trata de assuntos que são conflitos universais e de fácil identificação.”

Para Thiago, “vem muito a calhar” o fato de a história falar para o público infantojuvenil sobre a cultura de povos originários. “É uma interseção de diferentes universos no corpo de uma criança.”. Ele diz acreditar que o ponto principal de “Luz”, seu grande trunfo, é não subestimar a inteligência dos pequenos espectadores.

“Não deixamos de lado as angústias reais de uma criança. Quando você não subestima o universo e a criança, você já conversa com todo mundo porque já não é mais um gênero único. Quando a emoção é genuína, ela fala para todos.”

O diretor conta que essa foi a primeira experiência em atuação de grande parte dos pequenos e que houve muitos testes até a escolha. O elenco tem ainda Mel Lisboa como ajudante do avô da protagonista; Daniel Rocha, que interpreta um professor amoroso com os alunos; Maurício Destri, o tutor de matemática, e Dandara Albuquerque como a diretora da escola.
