Musk alfineta Threads e pode processar Meta: 'Concorrência é boa, trapaça não'

O bilionário Elon Musk voltou a alfinetar a Meta pela chegada do Threads, uma rede social idêntica ao Twitter lançada na última quarta-feira (5). Musk usou sua plataforma para dizer que “concorrência é boa, trapaça não”.
A declaração foi dada em resposta a um tuíte que cita que a empresa de Musk ameaça processar a Meta por contratar ex-funcionários do Twitter para criar o Threads e por ter acesso indevido a informações altamente confidenciais, incluindo segredos comerciais da plataforma do passarinho.
Em um post no Threads, o porta-voz da Meta, Andy Stone, disse que “ninguém na equipe de engenharia do Threads é um ex-funcionário do Twitter. Isso simplesmente não existe”.
Segundo a agência Reuters, o advogado do Twitter, Alex Spiro, enviou uma carta ao dono da Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, dizendo:
O Twitter pretende fazer cumprir estritamente seus direitos de propriedade intelectual e exige que a Meta tome medidas imediatas para parar de usar quaisquer segredos comerciais do Twitter ou outras informações altamente confidenciais

Ontem (6), a presidente-executiva do Twitter também alfinetou a concorrente. “Muitas vezes somos imitados, mas a comunidade do Twitter nunca pode ser duplicada”, disse Linda Yaccarino. Para ela, o Twitter é “insubstituível”.
Antes mesmo do lançado do Threads, Musk já havia cutucado Zuckerberg, quando um dos cofundadores do Twitter, Jack Dorsey, compartilhou uma imagem em que mostra a coleta excessiva de dados pessoais pelo Threads.
“Todos os seus tópicos pertencem a nós [Meta]”, ironizou Dorsey. Musk respondeu com um simples “Sim”.
